ANDREW ZABRONSKY

Andrew Zabronsky was born in Bellmore, New York, on Long Island, February 19, 1958.  He graduated from Bellmore John F. Kennedy High School in 1976, where he was a National Merit Scholar finalist, and obtained his B.A. in fine arts (with honors) from Union College, Schenectady, New York.  He received his Juris Doctor degree from Hastings College of the Law in 1984.

 

Since his admission to the California Bar in December 1984, and passing the New York State Bar in July 1985, Mr. Zabronsky has been associated with the San Francisco law firms of Tarkington, O'Connor & O'Neill and Hanson Bridgett, Marcus, Vlahos & Rudy.  He joined Evans, Latham & Campisi in 1994, becoming a shareholder in 1996, and specializes in probate and trust litigation. He is the author of the "Breach of Trust" and co-author of the "No-Contest Clauses and Other Obstacles to Litigation" in "California Trust and Probate Litigation", Continuing Education of the Bar (1999-2005), for which he has been update editor; author of "Out-of-State Practitioners in Our Midst? The Impact of Birbrower and Estate of Condon," California Trust and Estate Quarterly, Winter 1998; co-author of “Of Delegating and Double Dipping,” Trust & Estates Magazine, 2004; co-author of “State Bar Committee Can’t Justify Repeal of No-Contest Clauses,” San Francisco Daily Journal, December 21, 2004.  He served as a CEB panelist in programs in San Francisco, Sacramento and San Jose on Estate and Trust Litigation and on Will Contests in 2001, 2002 and 2004.  He has been a speaker at the California Bankers Association 2002 Trust and Investment Conference, “Immunizing Yourself from the Class Action Virus;” at the National Trust Real Estate Association 2004 Conference, “Closely Held Businesses and Real Estate in Trusts;” and, at programs of the Probate Sections of the San Francisco Bar Association and the Alameda Bar Association, and the Sacramento Estate Planning Council.  His published decisions include Estate of Condon (1998) 65 Cal.App.4th 1138 and Conservatorship of Coombs (1998) 67 Cal.App.4th 1395.

 

Mr. Zabronsky lives in Berkeley with his wife and son.
