THOMAS W. LATHAM
Thomas Latham was born in Boston, Massachusetts
January 18, 1943. He attended California Institute of Technology (B.S., with
honors, 1964); Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.S., 1966); Princeton University
(M.P.A., 1968); Georgetown
University (J.D.,
1973) and was a member of Tau Beta Pi.
Mr. Latham was admitted to the California bar in
1973. His practice areas are Probate and Trust Mediation, Administration
and Litigation, and Real Estate Litigation.
He served as a speaker at the Northern
California Trust Companies Association Fourth Annual Education Program
(1995), Chase Trust Company of California Sixth Annual Trust Forum
(1997), San Francisco Barristers Club Estate Planning, Probate and Trust
Committee Seminar — Alternative Dispute Resolution (1998); American
Bar Association, "Mediation in Estate and Trust Litigation"
Mid-Year CLE, 1999.
Mr. Latham was appointed Judge Pro Tem of
the San Francisco
Superior Court in a Bar Association sponsored volunteer program.
He is Chairperson of San Francisco Probate
Department Mediation Panel and is a member of National College of Probate
Judges, American Bar Association Estate and Trust Litigation Committee,
Bar Association of San Francisco Early Settlement Program; State Bar of
California (Delegate, State Bar Convention, 1975, 1976, and 1977).
Tom is an avid skier and sail plane pilot
