JAMES F. FEUTZ
James Feutz was born in Tacoma, Washington,
November 27, 1942. He graduated from Stadium
High School in Tacoma
and obtained his B.A. in German from Whitman
College in 1965 following study
at the University of Freiburg in Freiburg, Germany.
He received his Juris Doctor degree from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California
at Berkeley,
in 1968. After successfully taking both the California
and Washington bar exams during the
summer of 1968, Mr. Feutz returned to Germany to continue his
language studies.
Mr. Feutz began practice with the San Francisco firm
of Landels, Ripley & Diamond in June, 1970, becoming a partner in
January, 1975. Mr. Feutz' practice with Landels, Ripley and Diamond
concentrated in commercial litigation with an emphasis on real estate
related matters until 1987 when he left that firm to join the Tacoma,
Washington firm of Davies Pearson, P.C., where he became a partner in
1988. At Davies Pearson, Mr. Feutz' practice once again concentrated in
the area of commercial litigation.
In 1991 he returned to San Francisco to join Evans, Latham
& Campisi where he is a shareholder. His practice concentrates in
fiduciary and probate litigation matters.
Jim is a member of the State Bar of
California, the Oregon State Bar and the Washington State Bar
Association. He lectures on probate and trust administration issues and
is a member of the San Francisco Probate Court's mediation panel.
He lives in Berkeley, California
with his wife and three children.
